STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® and STAHLWILLE finalise cooperation agreement

Innovative tools meet racing chain saw

Innovative tools meet racing chain saw and competition axe, outstanding steel quality meets the top class in logger sports: STAHLWILLE is the tool partner of the German STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series.

STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is an international extreme sports competition series and has its roots in traditional forestry. We are very pleased to be able to equip the stage crew and the technicians at the national competitions, among others, with our tools.

"In STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®, technology and handtools play a crucial role. For STAHLWILLE, this cooperation agreement offers an excellent environment in which to present our brand in an emotional context," says André Koball, Head of Sales Germany, explaining the reasons for the company's involvement in extreme sports competitions. "We are very much looking forward to working with STIHL and are pleased that they have confidence in our tools."

In addition to classic advertising activities and site appearances, STAHLWILLE will be equipping the stage crew and technicians at the national TIMBERSPORTS® competitions as the official handtool partner. In committing to the agreement, the tool manufacturer is helping to optimise workflows and make the events even more attractive for fans and spectators.

"On stage, split seconds decide whether a competitor wins or loses," says Christin Rathke, Manager of STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Germany. But behind the scenes, too, peak performance is required to ensure the TIMBERSPORTS® events run smoothly. "We are pleased to have STAHLWILLE as a strong partner to help us continue to develop the national series and make our events even more impactful for fans."

The cooperation celebrated its premiere last weekend at the kick-off of the national TIMBERSPORTS® season 2021. The Ford Ranger Cup, the second qualifying competition for the German Championship for pros, as well as the German Championship for ladies and intermediates will be held, also in Mellrichstadt, on 17 and 18 July. The national highlight of the season this year will then take place in the middle of the Ruhr area: on 21 August, the Gelsenkirchen amphitheatre will be the venue for the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® German Championship 2021.
