STAHLWILLE for working in confined spaces
New from Stahlwille: ¼" set of sockets with a small-format fine-tooth ratchet, sockets and screwdriver bits
Ideal for working where space is seriously limited – this is exactly what the new 24-piece 1/4" set of sockets 40/16/3QR SCI from Stahlwille has been designed for. In addition to standard screwdriver bits, a bit holder and five sockets, the practical tool wallet also contains a mini fine-tooth ratchet with a steel handle just nine centimetres long. Thanks to the compact design, this tool can also be used in very constricted spaces. In many cases, this makes the cumbersome and time-consuming disassembly of panels and components unnecessary. Examples of typical applications can be found in many production processes, repair work in the heating and sanitary sector, in servicing jobs on cars and motorcycles, but also in the aerospace industry.
The 80-tooth ratchet mechanism generates a tight ratchet angle of only 4.5 degrees. No less than eight teeth engage simultaneously. Despite the compact dimensions, this enables extremely smooth running and high power transmission without damaging the mechanical systems. This means the tool allows access to fasteners where a thicker, longer handle would not have room to move. The ergonomically shaped, particularly slim handle lies securely in the hand and allows fatigue-free working.
The range of possible applications is extended by a 54 mm socket extension, which is also part of the set. This also allows access to bolting points which are not accessible for the ratchet itself.
The 418QR fine-tooth ratchet with its ¼" square drive has a QuickRelease lock as an additional safety feature. This ensures that inserts and shell tools are always reliably held in place. They cannot inadvertently fall off inside inaccessible places. At the same time, the technology enables rapid tool changes at the push of a button. Thanks to its screwless design, it is also predestined for use in safety-critical and FOD sensitive areas.
The mini fine-tooth ratchet is manufactured to the high precision standards for which Stahlwille is renowned. The drop-forged chrome vanadium shank is highly resilient and ensures a long service life. The fine internal mechanisms are reliably protected from dust, dirt and moisture by a particularly resistant plastic cover.
The tool wallet made of hard-wearing fabric is only 10 x 15 centimetres in size, fits in any service toolcase or even in the large-format pockets of work clothing and is always quickly to hand. The fine-tooth ratchet and its accessories are firmly held in a sculpted hard-foam inlay but are easily removable when needed.
