Fast, accurate, safe. These are attributes that apply to the entire range of motor racing and, as a consequence, to go-cart racing. To ensure that the high demands are met, everything has to function perfectly: the drivers, the engines, chassis and not forgetting the tools that are in use in the pits. Together with the high-grade tools, STAHLWILLE also provides the organisation aids that have proven their worth time and time again in the aerospace industry and in motor racing and which are key to success. Even the most proficient mechanics can only provide this level of work with high-grade tools. Part of the mutually successful arrangement involves skilled advice on the various tools available and innovations designed to simplify a mechanic's daily work. The objective is always to complete the task in a more efficient way and, above all, more accurately than before. In addition, reliable storage of tools and transporting toolkits are essential aspects.

STAHLWILLE tools for Formula Student racing cars
Over 30 German Formula Student racing teams regularly use Stahlwille tools in their workshops and by the racetrack. Stahlwille, the German tool specialist based in Wuppertal, has fitted them out with complete workshop installations, often supplemented with matching overalls. All the teams are subject to annual budget restrictions and this budget includes both financial donations, tangible donations and technical aids and assistance. When putting their projects into practice, the teams rely on the assistance afforded them by external enterprises. As a supplier to the automotive sector, Stahlwille has decided to provide targeted sponsoring to promote young drivers and thus the development of future racing cars.

After the "Formula Student" design competition had become firmly established at universities at an international level, VDI, the German Engineering Association, set up the "Formula Student Germany" in 2006. The objective of the contest was and still is the construction of a single-seater formula-standard racing car. In Germany, racing teams from around the world meet once a year at the Hockenheimring to test their respective strengths. In addition, there are competitions throughout the year worldwide in the field of Formula Student races. In all the races, an internationally selected jury assesses the prototypes according to their speed, design, financial planning, technical feasibility, appearance and marketing chances.
