Gemeinsam an den Aufgaben wachsen

Code of ethics for the STAHLWILLE Group, based in Wuppertal, Germany

Our principles are a guide to our behaviour. At the same time, they are a pledge to our employees and business partners, our company shareholders and the general public.

Our employees are our most valuable asset, which is why we invest in their development, increase their technical understanding and qualify them through vocational and further training. We place our trust in them and promote open communication. We assign accountabilities and encourage our staff to take on responsibilities. In return, we expect their commitment and enthusiasm, their integrity and openness.

General Anti-Discrimination Law

  1. Corporate culture which is characterised by partner-like behaviour in the workplace is a key contributor to positive working relations within the company and this, in turn, is a precondition for a company's economic success. Tolerance and equality are essential ingredients in defining a good working atmosphere.

Treating each other with respect is a key part of partner-like cooperation. Discriminating against a person on account of their sex, religion or beliefs, a handicap, their age or sexual orientation amounts to a violation of the principle of partner-like cooperation established here.

All our employees are obliged to respect the principle of partner-like cooperation. Employees are expected to align their behaviour with these basic principles.

  2. Every employee who feels they are subject to discrimination on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, sex, religion or beliefs, a handicap, age or sexual orientation is entitled to lodge a complaint.

A person taking advantage of this right to lodge a complaint may not, as a result, be put at a disadvantage. The rights of the Works Council remain unaffected.

  3. Any unauthorised violation of the principles of partner-like cooperation defined here can have consequences under labour law and can even result in dismissal.
